Set of two vintage majolica plates, Mister and Missus.

This is a splendid set of two deep plates made of majolica ceramic, hand-painted with charming representations of a man and a woman, mister and missus, husband and wife. The slight depth of these plates makes them perfect for enjoying salads or pasta. The plates are in very good condition for vintage items and feature a lovely scalloped edge. There are no cracks, although they show some typical signs of use and indications of the ceramic production process. The plate depicting the missus also has more crazing than the one depicting the mister. The price is for the set of two. Dimensions: D 25.5 cm X H 3 cm.
