Set of 4 antique polychrome earthenware plates – Chinese decoration

Magnificent set of four antique enamelled earthenware plates, with hand-painted polychrome decoration, depicting four Chinese figures in different scenes. Their delicate decorations in shades of pink, green, and brown, their scalloped edges, and their red-brown borders evoke the traditional productions of Eastern France, particularly the earthenware from Islettes.
