Stool by René Martin, Méribel around 1965
€1,000
Four-legged stool made of solid pine attributed to René Martin, a French cabinetmaker known as "René les Ciseaux," particularly for his collaboration with Charlotte Perriand on chalet interiors in Méribel. It features a thick circular seat with rounded edges, supported by four slightly flared legs. The pine wood, with its honey-colored hue and visible knots, has developed a beautiful warm patina over time. A simple and sturdy piece, characteristic of alpine furniture from the 1960s. France, around 1965.
