Large covered vase in Chinese porcelain, floral famille rose decoration.

Charming large round covered pot/ginger jar in polychrome glazed porcelain. Chinese craftsmanship from the 1950s-70s, 20th century, vintage. Red mark "Tongzhi nian zhi" under the stamped base. Hand-decorated with motifs of peony flowers, foliage, and rocks, famille rose. Geometric pattern border, blue handles, and a lid adorned with a green foo dog handle holding a red ball. Approximately 27 cm in height with the lid, 18-19 cm without, and about 24 cm in maximum diameter. In very good condition, with a small chip in the glaze on the lid, very discreet, and some minor signs of age. Weighs around 3 kg. A lovely decorative piece with beautiful proportions.
