Antique plate in popular faience attributed to the Islettes, in Argonne, hand-decorated with a floral bouquet in shades of manganese pink, deep green, yellow, and blue. The slightly undulating shape of the rim highlights the lively character of this rustic quality faience. The nuances of the large central motif, treated with a brush and subtle gradients, add relief and depth to the whole piece. Popular faience from the East of France, attributable to the workshops of Argonne in the spirit of the productions of the Islettes, 19th century. In good vintage condition, with firing irregularities, small glazing defects, and signs of age inherent to these old productions (see photos). Diameter 23.5 cm. An antique floral touch, vibrant and elegant.
