"Dot" stool (Model 3170) by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen, 1967

For sale: authentic "Dot" stool (model 3170), an iconic piece of Danish design created by the renowned Arne Jacobsen. Published by Fritz Hansen, this example is dated 1967 (original marking under the seat as proof). It reflects the functional minimalism characteristic of Jacobsen's work, similar to his Ant and Series 7 chairs. After 1970, the design changed and became more modern (four legs); this is the original design. Materials: Circular seat in black lacquered wood, tripod base in chrome-plated steel. Authenticity details: Presence of the original plastic cap under the seat with the "FH" logo, the mention "Made in Denmark", the date "1967", and the label "Danish Furniture Control". Condition: Beautiful vintage condition. The structure is stable and the chrome is well preserved. The seat shows a patina of use consistent with its age (some light surface marks and slight scratches visible in the photos) which give it its authentic character.
