Sputnik chandelier with 12 frosted glass lights, Italy circa 1970.

Very beautiful and extremely rare Italian chandelier from around 1970. Here is the large model with 12 lights being offered. This model, known as "Sputnik," is completely in the Space Age spirit of that time, inspired by space exploration and the first satellites. The structure is entirely made of brass and chrome metal, featuring a central sphere (diameter of 8 cm) from which the suspension rod and its conical ceiling light (diameter 8.5 cm and height 5.5 cm) extend, along with the 12 arms (alternating between 2 different lengths) supporting the 12 tulips, which are rare for their mushroom shape rather than the eternal spherical ones, made of frosted white glass (diameter 16 cm and height 10 cm). The total height and diameter of the light fixture is 60 cm (perfect dimensions fitting within a cube). Of course, it is in perfect condition with no cracks, chips, or pitting of the chrome and is sold with its bulbs (electricity checked). This chandelier will bring an ultra-design and high-quality touch to your interior, in a large hall or above a central island in a modern kitchen. Stunning when lit!!!
