DESCRIPTION: A unique oriental cabinet. These cabinets are from the 1970s, a period when Chinoiserie experienced a revival. This style originated in the mid-18th century, when entire castles were filled with Chinese and oriental furniture and objects. During the 1970s, such furniture was made and each piece is unique. All elements are applied by hand, giving it an artistic touch. You can clearly see the hand-painted lines. It is painted on all sides, even inside. Gold leaf is also used on the front of this cabinet, over which it is painted. The use of gold leaf makes the cabinet shine when the sun hits it. Birds and flowers are depicted on this cabinet, also on the sides. The doors are painted with blossoms on the inside. There are two cabinet spaces: the upper one, which used to hold a TV, and the lower one with a removable shelf. In short, a very beautiful cabinet for a bohemian or oriental styled home or shop. DIMENSIONS: Height: 145cm Width: 100cm Depth: 50cm Upper cabinet height: 64cm Cabinet depth: 46cm Cabinet width: 95cm Lower cabinet height: 45cm. CONDITION: Generally in good condition. Missing one latch on the lock. Has a few light damages around the cabinet. One large lacquer damage inside. Some of these spots have been touched up with lacquer paint. (See last photos for a better idea of the condition).
