Vintage Chinese cabinet with gold leaf, flowers and peacock/ bohemian

DESCRIPTION: A unique Oriental cabinet. These cabinets are from the 1970s, a period of revival for Chinoiserie. This style originated in the mid-18th century, when entire castles were filled with Chinese and Eastern furniture and objects. During the 1970s, such furniture was made and each piece is unique. All elements are applied by hand, giving it an artistic touch. You can clearly see the hand-painted lines. It is painted on all sides, even inside. Gold leaf is used on the front, over which it is painted. The gold leaf makes the cabinet shine when the sun hits it. The cabinet features birds and flowers, with a beautiful peacock painted on the front. Flowers and birds are also found on the sides and inside the doors. There are two cabinet spaces: the upper one, which used to hold a TV, and a smaller lower space with a removable shelf. The doors can be folded. In short, a very beautiful cabinet for a bohemian or Oriental-style home or shop. CONDITION: The cabinet has craquelure, which adds extra dimension, but it is still in good condition. There are some small damaged spots, touched up with lacquer in black areas, and a scratch on the side. The price reflects the condition. DIMENSIONS: Height: 145 cm. Width: 105 cm. Depth: 57.5 cm.
