Solid teak dachshund by kay bojesen. First edition from 1950 imagined by kay bojesen in 1934. After superb productions in goldsmithing, he moved towards woodworking in which he found more possibilities in the creation of his figurines. For kay bojesen, it was important that customers could almost commune with her productions. Like adopting a pet. This is why most of his objects are articulated, allowing us to give them various positions. They also have a playful and childish side like little living beings. Exhibited at the victoria & albert museum in london, kay bojesen is recognized as one of the greatest toy designers in the world. Dimensions: length 27 or 33cm depending on position of the tail. Height 16cm width 10cm the dachshund is still produced by rosendhal, but in a smaller version and in walnut wood. Vintage item in good condition with some signs of use.
