Piece signed by the studio of Wilhelm Kåge (1889-1960), a major figure in 20th-century Scandinavian ceramics. Superb ceramic vase produced by the Swedish manufacturer Gustavsberg, signed by Wilhelm Kåge's studio. This model features a sculptural organic shape, animated by a characteristic spiral relief decoration of mid-20th-century modernist Scandinavian design. The deep blue glaze, richly nuanced and slightly speckled, creates subtle plays of light and highlights the texture of the material. The underside bears the stamp "Gustavsberg Sweden" as well as the Kåge studio marking. A strong decorative piece, emblematic of modern Scandinavian design, ideal as a central object or in an accumulation. ⸻ 🔎 Details. • Designer: Wilhelm Kåge. • Manufacturer: Gustavsberg. • Origin: Sweden. • Period: 1930s–50s. • Style: Scandinavian Modern. • Material: glazed ceramic. • Colour: nuanced deep blue.
