Bronze female bust representing Judith, symbol of freedom, virtue and victory for a just cause that of the weak over the strong. Signed Emmanuel Villanis (1858-1914) on the drape. Around 1900. Emmanuel Villanis is a sculptor known for his small bronze statues which mix traditional neo-classical style and elegant art nouveau lines. Height 20 cm. Width 14 cm.
