Beautiful pair of earthenware pansus vases. They are signed hb quimper, a family factory with traditional techniques, founded in 1708 by pierre bousquet. These two vases offer the particularity of being decorated with identical colored flowers on one side, and dissimilar and complementary characters on the other. Thus, a man and a woman dressed in traditional breton clothing are depicted in a similar setting of fields and birds. These scenes are highlighted by blue decorations of foliage and flowers, up to flared necks with yellow borders. These vases, with strong bigoudène characteristics, form a harmonious ensemble with rounded lines. They may or may not be accompanied by a matching planter (ref: 40 s). ****** Period: late nineteenth. Very good condition. Size: Neck diameter: 11.5 cm. Height: 30 cm. Maximum width: 16.5cm. Ref: 070921 bis.
