Chic country-style buffet (renovated)

A tall buffet made of solid pine from the late 19th century, of Alsatian or German origin. With its height of 140 cm, it occupies space with authority without overwhelming a room; this intermediate size, between a sideboard and a cupboard, is one of the most versatile in antique rural furniture. Materials: solid pine with clear and generous grain, aged beautifully over time. The original forged hardware is fully preserved: ornate escutcheons on the doors, metal knobs on the drawer; details that reflect the care given even to service furniture. Features: this antique buffet is organised around a top drawer with double knobs, topped with a moulded cornice, and a body closed by two panelled doors. The turned ball feet, a signature of Central European peasant furniture, anchor the whole piece with warmth. Inside, it offers two solid wood shelves and a small drawer. The doors lock. Renovation: the buffet has been repaired, then lightly sanded to clean it while respecting its aged patina. It was then thoroughly washed and protected with a clear wax. Dimensions: W93 x D53 x H140.
