Old brass chamber candle holder with push button

Period: ca. Late 19th – early 20th century. This candle holder is made of brass and is ancient. The saucer-shaped base and handle indicates that it is a chamber candle holder (to have on the bedside in case you need to walk around at night). The rod is hollow and has a push button to eject the candle stump or to adjust the height of the candle. The design is simple. The handle is attached with a clover-shaped plate, something often found in art nouveau period pieces. Status: good. Green oxidation visible under the bud on the stem. Visible weld mark. Dimensions: 11.5 cm high, 13 cm foot diameter, 245 g.
