Vintage Moroccan ornamental plate in ceramic, adorned with alpaca filigree and bone appliqués. Authentic handcrafted piece. Magnificent large decorative plate, a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship, combining three distinct techniques: hand-painted ceramic, metal filigree, and bone marquetry. This piece is ideal for collectors or as a central element in refined bohemian, eclectic, or ethnic decor. It features a rich geometric and floral design in cobalt blue and emerald green, enhanced with touches of yellow and ochre, with a meticulous pointillist pattern characteristic of Islamic art. The plate is set in a complex structure of silver-plated metal (probably alpaca or nickel-plated brass), crafted with small spheres and a cord that highlight the star-shaped geometry at its centre. The empty spaces of the central motif are meticulously filled with sculpted bone fragments, adding an organic texture and an elegant contrast with the metal and the shine of the ceramic.
