This extending dining table was manufactured by the British furniture maker G-Plan during the 1960s. The piece is an excellent example of Mid-Century Modern design, combining a simple, timeless form with high-quality craftsmanship. The table is crafted from teak wood and features a round tabletop with a gently rounded, reinforced edge, supported by four slender, tapered legs. Its harmonious proportions and lightweight construction give the piece the elegance characteristic of 1960s British furniture design. The table is equipped with a practical extension mechanism and an additional central leaf. When extended, the round tabletop transforms into a spacious oval dining surface measuring 168 cm in length. The table has undergone professional furniture restoration. The wooden elements were stripped of the old coating, then stained in an oak colour and finished with durable semi-matt lacquer, which protects the surface while enhancing the natural grain of the teak wood.
