Dark brown/ black has been used as the background to this antique damghan carpet rug, contrasting beautifully against the detailing of the motifs which are woven in vibrant green, blue, yellow and red. The central design is abstract and not symmetrical so is interesting to look at and engaging. This high-quality rug is then finished with a repeat pattern border and cream fringe on two sides of the rug. The colours are vivid owing to their natural origin, in fact only vegetable dyes and natural fibres were used in the creation of this carpet.
