Monumental and rare murano "sommerso" catchall designed by flavio poli for seguso vetri d'arte (murano, italy, 1970s). Made of red, yellow and transparent glass. Perfectly works as a vide poche, a catchall or just as a display piece on any table. Extremely decorative. Very rare because of the size (usually these catchalls are much smaller - see the comparative picture, the second catchall is of course not part of the offer). Original label intact. Length: 14 cm; width: 14 cm; height: 5.5 cm. Weight: 2 kg. Very good vintage condition. No chips, no cracks, no flea bites. Some usual scratches. "sommerso" (italian for ''submerged'') is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer.
