Designed in 1957 by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Zanotta, the Mezzadro Stool is one of the most iconic pieces of Italian design. Originally inspired by a tractor seat, it transforms an everyday industrial component into a sculptural yet functional seating object. Introduced to production in 1970, the stool combines a lacquered metal seat with a chrome-plated steel support and a steam-bent beechwood base. Its playful character and innovative construction have made it a timeless design classic and a true collector's piece. Good vintage condition with minor signs of use, including light surface wear and minor traces of rust.
