1980s lounge chair by Mathias Hoffman for Rolf Benz, Germany

A unique large lounge chair, designed by Mathias Hoffman and manufactured in Germany around 1980. This eye-catching piece is made of black leather on a black leather upholstered base with chrome plated metal ends. The swivel mechanism of the base, large and deep seat and armrests all add nicely to the impressive seating comfort of the chair. Altogether, this eye-catching piece has all the elements to become the centrepiece of the decor! As shown in photos, the piece is labelled. It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
