Porcelain plate yellow with saturated and vivid colors. Handmade in japan towards the end of the 19th century, during the meiji era 1868 and 1912- this large decorative plate depicts a figurative scene in bright colors, evoking spring: a plum tree in bloom, full of fruit, and in the foreground a vase of large peonies highlighted in black. The rich pastel tones of pink and blue contrast beautifully with the bright yellow, and the black painted table. The stylistic influences of china can be seen in the shape of the table. The porcelain plate comes from the "yamatoku kiln". This yamatoku kiln was located in saga prefecture, on the island of kyushu. It distinguished itself with its bright and colorful porcelain pieces and was active between 1868 and 1912. Dimensions: diameter: 31.5 cm, height: 4 cm, weight.enameled porcelain, hand-painted decoration. Unsigned.
