Art Deco jardiniere designed by Rudolf Hlousek for the renowned Moser glassworks is a vessel made entirely of thick, transparent crystal in a lemon shade. The form is based on a wavy, dynamically shaped rim and a faceted body, with regular, deep vertical and diagonal cuts creating a harmonious, geometric rhythm. The lack of additional fittings or metal elements makes the whole a manifestation of glassmaking precision and material purity. The thickness of the walls, architectural structure, and mirror-like shine enhance the play of light, especially on the edges. The glass colour has a warm, yellow tone with a noticeable golden hue. The proportions balance between the monumentality of the form and the transparent lightness. Condition: very good, no chips or scratches, the rim and surface look fresh and clear, with no signs of restoration. This object brings the voice of the 1930s, when geometry met the highest level of craftsmanship. The facets and rhythmic cuts speak of a fascination with light, while the lemon tone reminds of the optimistic side of Art Deco, when luxury was to be combined with modernity. It seems this jardiniere could tell stories of salons where afternoon light crossed with the architecture of urban interiors – where every detail was meant to emphasise the clarity of the new style. Today, it can be placed on a classic walnut console, where it will fill the space with a shimmering colour, or on light marble to highlight the play of light in the facets. The jardiniere is worth pairing with geometric ceramics or a slender, nickel-plated candlestick, as well as in a more minimalist living room, where its dominant feature will be the colour and structure of the glass. It fits perfectly both among classic Art Deco furniture and as a solo accent against a cool, contemporary interior. The vessel does not require special care – just gently wipe with a soft cloth, avoid abrasive substances and direct impacts. The whole is made of crystal-clear glass with a high refractive index, which enhances the decorative effect of the form.
