Three large Japanese Otagiri style frog & snail mugs

Charming trio of large Japanese earthenware mugs, in the style of Otagiri Japan creations from the 1970s and 1980s. Decorated with hand-painted frogs and snails, they feature a speckled beige glaze enhanced with a deep brown tenmoku-style lip and handle. Their rounded, stackable shape, as well as the humorous decoration, evoke the vintage Otagiri series. No indication of brand or provenance. Very good vintage condition. Diameter 11 cm – Height 6.5 cm. Perfect for café crème, hot chocolate, or cozy soups. They will bring a playful and retro touch to the table. Mugs full of charm and humor, in a vintage Japanese and wabi-sabi spirit.
