Stylized female head in terracotta, modernist style, signed, 23 cm

Terracotta sculpture representing a woman's head with clean, geometric features, in an aesthetic close to the modernist movements of the 20th century. Patinated in bronze-green tones, this work plays on the contrasts between the smooth finish and the areas of wear revealing the original red terracotta, particularly visible at the base and in places on the reliefs of the face. The piece, signed on the back but by an unidentified author, measures approximately 23 cm in height, 10 cm in width and 16 cm in depth. It weighs 1.97 kg. The stylization of the face, the simplified volumes and the serenity of the expression evoke the influence of modern art of the 1920s-1940s, particularly in the spirit of the school of paris and sculptural research around the purity of forms. The overall condition is good with some visible chips, consistent with an old piece and contributing to its authentic character. The underside is left raw, revealing the bare terracotta.
