Harry Bertoia Wire Chair, restored vintage Knoll edition

Chair designed by American sculptor Harry Bertoia in 1952, model Wire, published by Knoll. This is an old example that has been fully restored. The chair was sanded to remove the damaged coating, then received an anti-corrosion treatment and a white powder coating, and the fixing screws are new. It does not bear a stamp, as Knoll has only applied stamps since 1991; this chair is from an earlier production. The quality of craftsmanship and the welded joints allow for its authentication. It is an iconic chair from 1950s design that can be used both outdoors and indoors. Note a slight deformation of a wire at the bottom of the third mesh at the top right of the backrest (visible in the last photo).
