Very old oil on canvas painting. Still life floral composition (anemones, mimosa, wallflowers), French School. Dated late 19th to early 20th century. Unsigned (or signature faded), often the case at this time for a regional work. Very nice piece typical of this period: deep shadow play, quality of execution. Original canvas, unrestored. Period frame, moulded white with gilded friezes in the Louis XV style. Old artisanal mounting: nails, keyhole plates. Illegible pencil inscriptions on the back attributed to the framing artisan. Note two holes in the canvas: on the left and right sides, likely due to nails, which do not detract from its charm. Signs of use on the frame and missing original paint on the mat. 60 X 53 cm. Depth 4 cm.
