Oil on panel signed Renaud Gouiran

A generous bouquet of wildflowers bursts from an amber glass vase, set against a deep midnight blue background that makes the colours sing. The material is worked with a knife, in a lively and spirited touch, very characteristic of the artist's style. Work signed by Renaud Gouiran (1937-2009), a painter born in Valence in the Drôme, exhibited during his lifetime across France (Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Nice, Paris...) as well as abroad (Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Australia).
