Orientalist table from the 19th century - landscape of Algeria - monogrammed drawing

Hello. I am offering this old work in ink and white chalk on watercolour paper. This landscape in the heights likely resembles a land in Algeria under a Mediterranean sun. The vegetation appears arid with a light from left to right creating a contrast between sun and shadow. This scene is animated by several characters. In the distance, one can see historical monuments, two minarets, a mosque, as well as two steles in the foreground by the dirt path. On the horizon, the sea with two boats adds a beautiful depth and a vast space. This finely detailed drawing is the work of a professional artist; research on the monogram in the bottom right is to be done. Frame dimensions: 32 cm x 26 cm. Artwork dimensions: 17.5 cm x 13 cm. The wooden frame in an Orientalist style is more recent. It is sturdy and contrasts with the delicacy of the drawing. This frame has been cleaned and remains in perfect condition, ready to be hung as a memento of one of Algeria's exceptional landscapes.
