Elegant Standing Lamp - Oficina de Agosto

My father used to have a shop in Antwerp, Belgium, where he sold imported brazilian furniture, art and special objects. He quit the shop after a while and I'm trying to sell his inventory which still contain beautiful pieces. When I was younger he would put his furniture and pieces on expositions like Maison&Objet in Paris and Harrods in London. This unique handmade floor lamp, crafted in Minas Gerais, Brazil by the artisans of Oficina de Agosto and Oficina de Lata is one of the pieces I photographed to sell. My father used to buy art and furniture from them in the 1980's. The lamp features a robust wrought iron base which height you can adjust and a large perforated steel sheet in a light creamy green shade. The hand-punched patterns allow a warm, atmospheric glow to shine through, creating beautiful light effects through its shade.
