Date of manufacture: Circa 1920-1970. Condition: Good. Wear is consistent with age and use. Japanese low storage tansu made during the Taishō period, in the early 20th century. Designed for everyday domestic use, it combines functionality, visual lightness, and a sober aesthetic. The piece features a harmonious arrangement of drawers in various sizes, allowing for the storage of clothing, textiles, or personal items. It is primarily made of paulownia, a wood highly valued for its lightness and stability, complemented by Japanese cedar in the structural parts. The original metal fittings, simple and functional, highlight the authentic character of the piece.
