Vintage teak reading table Opal from the 1960s.

Magnificent organic-shaped reading table, made partly from teak veneer and solid wood. This rare design was produced by the German company Opal in the 1960s and is in near-new condition thanks to professional renovation. This multifunctional table can be used in various ways at home. From a small coffee table to a side table, from a reading table to a TV stand – the design is both practical and elegant. The table rests on four organically shaped solid teak legs, slightly angled under the top. The upper surface is subtly elliptical, giving a playful and airy character to the whole piece. Beneath the upper surface is a second shelf, ideal for storing books or vinyl records. The table has been carefully renovated by us. The old layers of maintenance have been removed, the wood has been fully hand-sanded, and re-oiled with high-quality matte furniture oil. This brings out the warm colour of the teak, and the piece is ready for use. A bottle of maintenance oil is provided with the purchase to keep the table in optimal condition.
