A superb pair of large midnight blue satin-finish porcelain bowls, produced by Rosenthal Studio-Line in the 1970s. The "Liguria" design is a creation of the French ceramist Gilbert Portanier, recognizable for his dreamlike and narrative style, blending stylized forms and vibrant colors. The motif printed on the porcelain evokes an imaginary scene populated by abstract figures and graphic symbols in a shimmering palette—red, yellow, turquoise, and green—contrasting harmoniously with the matte blue background. The "Portanier" signature is integrated into the design. These elements are characteristic of the artistic productions of the Studio-Line line. Each bowl rests on a wide, flared pedestal. Dimensions: approximately 21.5 cm high and 26 cm in diameter. Stamped Rosenthal Germany Studio-Line under the base. The set is in excellent condition, without chips or cracks, with crisp and intact decoration. Slight signs of wear only under the base.
