Exceptional and rare set of 9 antique champagne glasses made of blown crystal from the house of BACCARAT, monogrammed with the letter "C". Artisan craftsmanship from the 19th century. Each glass features a very fine engraving of a monogram/number "C" elegantly crafted in a cartouche with acanthus scrolls and volutes. Absence of stamp/mark: These pieces are pre-1936 (the date when Baccarat began systematically acid-etching its logo under its glassware), so they do not bear a signature, which is entirely normal and consistent with Baccarat pieces from this era. Handcrafted: Mouth-blown and hand-shaped, the glasses show slight differences from one to another (variation of a few millimetres in height, weight, or fineness of the stem), reflecting their artisanal production of the time. Dimensions: Height: Between 11 cm and 11.4 cm. Diameter of the rim: Approximately 10.5 cm. Diameter of the base: Approximately 7.8 cm. Condition: Very good general condition of use. No chips, no nicks or cracks on the rims or bases. Clear, brilliant crystal with a remarkable sound characteristic of Baccarat crystal. Shows very slight signs of age inherent to antique pieces (micro-scratches almost invisible). Shipping: Fast and very carefully protected dispatch via Mondial Relay or Colissimo.
