Mid-century murano sommerso glass ashtray / small bowl - italy, 1960s. ''sommerso'' is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s and 1960s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly caused by a clear layer. Colours: red, yellow and clear. Height: 5 cm; width: 12 cm; depth: 12 cm. Excellent vintage condition.
