Rare wall appliques in a sphere shape from the space age by the Dutch manufacturer Raak, based on a design by Frank Ligtelijn from the late 1950s. The most distinctive feature of this lamp is the tinted glass reflector globe. The glass body of the fixture reveals the internal mechanisms, the funnel-shaped reflector, and the cylindrical aluminium socket cover. The aluminium funnel is flush with the lower opening of the glass and is separated by a circumferential gap. The light is primarily directed downwards, with some light escaping laterally through holes in the reflector. The glass spheres rest freely on a chrome ring connected to the wall plate, allowing for manual adjustment of the lamp's light direction.
