Elegant four-tiered side table created by André Groult in the early 1920s. A perfect example of the decorator's work, where function becomes the pretext for a perfectly mastered decorative composition. Its fine silhouette, entirely made of beech, rests on a precise balance of volumes: a structured base with softened curves and an ingenious assembly of tiers held together by entirely wooden fittings. Each tier is dressed in a beautiful maple veneer, forming a delicate play of symmetry that highlights the blonde hues and vibrant grain of the wood. This veneering work, executed with great finesse, adds rhythm and depth to the composition while underscoring the artisanal precision of the whole. Designed to hold plants or art objects, the piece expresses a refined and whimsical vision of decorative furniture, characteristic of the vocabulary developed by Groult at the beginning of the Art Deco period. A piece that is both decorative and functional, fully restored in our workshop.
