Important Alsatian support buffet in stained solid wood, dating from the 17th century around 1650. A very beautiful piece of regional furniture featuring a powerful and balanced architecture, characteristic of ancient Rhenish furniture. The façade is rhythmically adorned with superb twisted columns framing two moulded doors. The upper body opens with four belt drawers, while the lower part reveals a vast storage space with interior shelves. The carved decoration is rich yet understated: deep mouldings, rosettes, friezes, and vegetal elements testify to high-quality craftsmanship. The old bronze or brass fittings harmoniously complete the ensemble. Very beautiful warm patina, with a robust structure typical of 17th-century Alsatian furniture. Dimensions: Height: 131 cm.
