Presentation pedestal from the Art Deco period, entirely covered in glazed ceramic tesserae arranged in mosaic. The structure features a square-section shaft, tapering downwards before widening into a square base of 26 X 26 cm. The covering combines three colours: a glossy brown-burgundy background, ivory white central panels, and golden borders and fillets. The upper top is adorned with an eight-pointed star made of golden and brown tesserae on a white background, a geometric pattern characteristic of the decorative repertoire of the 1920s-1930s. High-quality artisanal craftsmanship in the tradition of early 20th-century French decorative ceramics. Workshop observation: visible chips on the tiles at the lower corners of the base, requiring slight mosaic restorations. The overall condition is consistent with the period.
