Pair of Chippendale style armchairs

Beautiful pair of English-style oak armchairs from the mid-20th century, purchased in Denmark. They embody the codes of English Chippendale style in a refined and very elegant version, particularly with their curved armrests, openwork backs ending in a shell design, and cabriole legs. The seats are in excellent condition. They have been reupholstered in a fresh ecru and pistachio green fabric with a small leaf pattern that adds lightness to the whole. A stain—resulting from water damage—should be noted on one of the seats, but the cushion has been cleaned. Seat measurements: 57 X 46 X H 43 cm.
