Old oak post office furniture (1930s: 1940s) in its original patina. The provenance of these cardboard boxes, which have become uncommon, can be identified by their identical design, but also by the serial number engraved on the top right of the piece of furniture. Here, 947 946. It rests on a beautiful solid oak plinth and ends at the top with a molded pediment. It opens with 8 removable doors, each fitted with its brass label holder and its small pull handle with chiseled edges; all present. The door rises vertically then pushes inwards, sliding on a small cast iron mechanism. It then wedges inside the locker and remains there, allowing convenient access to the interior. The sides are made of solid oak. In its original medium oak patina, it has some tiny signs of wear but is in excellent condition. Stable, solid and very aesthetic, it can be used to store our papers, the file standards having not changed since. Space-saving. H: 189 cm. W: 51 cm. D: 31 cm.
