Palaset palanox, design by ristomatti ratia, for treston oy, scandinavian modern - 2 vintage modular storage cubes, icons of scandinavian design - rare and sought after (see photos) they were only produced for 2 years in finland - they are in good condition, with some minor scratches, due to use. In brown and cream plastic, removable chrome steel handles - during his vast career, ristomatti ratia designed everything from clothing, jewelry, vases, furniture... One of his iconic works of modern design is the modular shelf from the palaset collection - the original colors of the cubes were off-white, brown, red, green and yellow. Ristomatti ratia's idea was to create a personalized storage system for homes of different sizes. The cubes could be purchased individually, with a wide variety of accessories. They were produced by treston oy in turku, finland for a short period in the early 1970s (between 1972 and 1973).
