Superb pair of ceramic vases from Germany, signed Scheurich, model 484-27, emblematic of West Germany production from the 1960s-70s. These two pieces feature a stylised floral relief decoration in black, brown, and orange on a cream background, typical of the decorative trends of the time. The swollen shape with a narrow neck perfectly showcases the glaze work and provides a strong presence, both as a duo and when integrated into vintage or contemporary decor. Model 484 is part of Scheurich's iconic shapes. Although the manufacturer's archives are incomplete, this shape is commonly attributed to designer Heinz Siery, a key figure in the revival of design at Scheurich in the 1950s. This attribution is accepted within collector circles, though it should be considered with caution. The real advantage here lies in the presence of the pair, which is much more sought after than individual pieces, allowing for a balanced and elegant display. Dimensions: Height 27 cm. Diameter ± 20 cm. Marking under base: 484-27 W. Germany. Condition: very good overall condition, shiny glazes, no notable cracks or chips. A strong decorative pair, representative of West German ceramic design, ideal for enthusiasts of authentic pieces and discerning collectors.
