The Malayer gallery rug is a type of Persian rug that takes its name from the city of Malayer, located in the Hamadan province of Iran. These rugs are handmade by local artisans, renowned for their know-how and mastery of traditional techniques. Woven from high quality wool which gives them exceptional durability and resistance, this rug of remarkable length and rich and bright colors is made up of repetitions of stylized floral motifs. It features a high level of detail which demonstrates the skill of the weavers. In its field, we find a veritable anthology of herati motifs, stylized flowers and leafy palmettes, all enhanced by borders with geometric motifs.
