Art Deco walnut sideboard

Superb 1950s sideboard in solid walnut. With its bold style (between Art Deco and 1950s modernism), this low sideboard adds incredible character and a beautiful presence to a contemporary or vintage interior. The top surface is in three sections on two levels, dressed in veined black marble (19 mm thick). There are two storage doors on the outer sides of the piece, with a central decoration in the shape of a shield, sculpted. Functional locks and keys are provided. Inside, there are two adjustable light wood shelves on brackets. In the centre of the piece, a bar/display area is enclosed by two sliding glass doors, with a glass shelf and a mirrored back that reflects light. Below, there are two storage drawers with lovely original grey metal handles. The legs are moustache-shaped in solid walnut. Panelled sides. 1950s sideboard, lovely natural walnut colour, high-quality materials, traditional craftsmanship, in excellent condition, sound and robust. Note small signs of age; whitish stains on the back of the marble and one of the two keys is worn down and no longer turns the lock. A beautiful timeless piece thanks to its straight lines.
