"Golden" wooden column

Antique pedestal with a gilded twisted column – Baroque style. Description. Superb antique pedestal, probably late 19th – early 20th century, made of carved wood and gilded with gold leaf. The twisted column is richly decorated with raised leaf motifs, highlighted with gilding and colored patinas. The round top is perfect for displaying a plant, vase, or lamp. Condition: Good structural condition, with visible wear and chips to the gilding, which adds to its antique charm (see photos). A beautiful decorative object in the Baroque/Renaissance style that will add character to a classic interior.
