Authentic Parisian Art Deco wardrobe (1920-30)

Large Parisian Art Deco wardrobe from the 1920s-1930s, Made of solid oak and oak plywood, it opens with two large glass doors that lock with a perfectly functional original two-point lock. The key and the gilded, engraved lock entries with typically Art Deco patterns are also original. Notable is the very pretty curved and fluted cornice that continues on the sides, as well as the beautiful sought-after pediment in the centre with its stylised floral motifs that correspond to the discreet flowers carved into the outer corners of each door. Again, this is pure Art Deco style. The glass sections are visually divided by fluted solid oak strips that add a lot of charm to the piece. It should be noted that the vertical strip on the right door has been broken in three places. It has been repaired each time, and while this is visible up close, it is hardly noticeable from 50 cm away. This is the only notable flaw in this beautiful wardrobe. Inside, there are 4 original shelves mounted on adjustable brackets. The lovely fluted turned front feet and the beautiful lower frieze are also noteworthy. Quite tall and not very deep, it combines practicality and aesthetics. Completely cleaned, it also has a lovely brightness of light oak that particularly complements our interiors. H: 180 cm.
