Set of stylised plant forms in blackened carved wood. West Africa (probably Côte d'Ivoire or Ghana), circa 1980. Dense wood, hand-carved, with a black-brown patina from oxidation and use. Each element evokes a pod, cocoa pod, or stylised seed, featuring repetitive geometric relief work reminiscent of traditional utilitarian and ritual craftsmanship. The volumes are elongated, sometimes ribbed or segmented, alternating between smooth surfaces and recessed patterns. The whole presents a strong formal unity, suggesting a coherent set designed as decorative or educational objects related to the plant world. Unsigned. Decorative artisanal production, probably intended for the local market or for ethnographic export in the second half of the 20th century.
