Rare set of 3 plates with different fruit designs in Sarreguemines earthenware, in the spirit of the Rubelles shaded enamels. The rim of the plates is adorned with arabesques, while the centre features fruits. One plate has plums, one has raspberries, and one has hazelnuts. Impressed with SARREGUEMINES MAJOLICA EXCELLENT CONDITION, no stains or knife marks, thick glaze, deep colours; the plate with raspberries has a tiny superficial wear of glaze on the rim, and the plate with hazelnuts has two chips on the rim, the smaller chip has caused an almost invisible hairline crack that does not affect the plate's sturdiness, see photo. Diameter 21 cm. 6 other matching plates with different fruits and a compote dish in my other listings.
