Louis XV style console and mirror – Solid oak – 19th century
Console and mirror set topped with solid oak, combining two distinct stylistic registers from the 19th century. The console, in Louis XV style, rests on four slender cabriole legs and features a scalloped carved apron. The top is accompanied by three drawers with finely chased bronze handles featuring rocaille motifs, with traditional dovetail joints visible inside. The topped mirror, in neoclassical architectural style, consists of a cornice frame with dentils, pilasters with moulded panels, and a full-arch glass. The oak displays a golden-amber patina, with signs of natural wear, localized wormholes, and a few slight cracks, attesting to the piece's age. The set is entirely original according to the provided information. Cleaning and occasional consolidation are to be expected. Console dimensions: H. 81 cm – W. 48 cm – Estimated weight: 80 kg. Total height with mirror: 160 cm – Estimated width: 130-140 cm. Shipping is not included.
